Lauren Leslie was born in San Clemente, and played for the SC Blues from U8's to U19's. Also known as "Fly", Lauren was coached by Mary Naime and Tad Bobak. Lauren has been coaching at the SC Blues since 2013. She holds a USSF National “D” Coaching License from the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) and a USSF National Youth License.
Lauren is a four-year Varsity letter winner at San Clemente High School. She helped lead the Tritons to three straight South Coast League titles and a pair of CIF championships in 2003 and 2004. She earned all-CIF honors, was named the South Coast Most Valuable Player after her senior season, and was also a second-team selection (2005) and honorable mention pick (2004) and all-county first-team pick.
Lauren received a college scholarship to San Diego State, and Point Loma Nazarene University, where she played soccer and got her Bachelors in Business Communications. As a freshman at SDSU she was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Purdue Cup All-Tournament team with Defensive MVP of the tournament. Her senior year Lauren helped her team reach the finals of the NAIA National Tournament, where they placed 2nd in the Nation.
In 2010-11 Lauren played professionally in Zaragoza, Spain. Then Lauren went on to play WPSL for Beach FC, having an unbeaten season and winning a National Championship in 2014. In 2021 Lauren played for Capo FC winning the league for the Women’s USPL Spring season.
Lauren currently plays on the US Women’s Beach Soccer National Team under US Soccer. She has 9 caps with 6 goals.
